What is Hair Transplant?

Turkey is recognized worldwide for its expertise in hair, beard or eyebrows transplants. Contrary to popular belief and thanks to FUE and DHI methods,  the results are very natural and permanent.

→Follicular Unit Extraction – FUE

More aesthetic than the FUT method, it is carried out in 3 steps:

-Microsurgical extraction of follicles, also called grafts, from your donor area using a motorized punch.

-Opening of micro-channels or incisions using a « sapphire ».

-Then the follicles are reimplanted on the area to be treated.

This technique has several advantages: it does not leave a scar and postoperative follow-up is simpler.

→Direct Hair Transplant – DHI

This method allows you to find a better density than with classic FUE.

Thanks to the Choï pen, 50 to 60 grafts can be implanted per square centimètre, against 40 to 50 with the FUE method. Hair transplantation using the DHI method takes place in 2 stages:

-Extraction of the grafts using a motorized punch.

-Direct implantation on the area to be treated using Choï pens.

For either of these two techniques, here is some additional information:
Preparation for surgery:

It is recommended to take with you shirts, waistcoats, etc. to be sure that you will not damage your freshly transplanted grafts.

Before the operation, a consultation with the doctor is necessary to establish a preoperative assessment.

It is important not to cut your hair before the operation so that we can perceive the natural movement of your hair.

Once the assessment has been established, the patient must have their head shaved before the operation, so that the hair does not damage the transplanted grafts.

After surgery:

You will need to sleep in a sitting position for the first week.

It is strongly recommended not to have any sports activity, to expose yourself to the sun without protection and to have aquatic activities for the month following your procedure.

Possible complications:

Even if the risks are small and rare, they cannot be completely ruled out:

– Itching

-Appearance of small pimples especially on the donor area: frequent but not serious.

-Infection: rare

-Poor healing

-Cysts: which usually disappear without requiring medical intervention.
