What is an Eyebrow Transplant ?
Eyebrow transplant is one of the most aesthetically difficult operations to perform, but when is it performed by professionals, they give impressive results. The difficulty is to give the right angle and the right inclination to the grafts, conditions for a natural rendering.
Before the operation, during the consultation, the expert will draw the shape of your eyebrows according to your face and your expectations. Once this step is completed, the doctor will determine the number of follicles you need. Usually, 300 grafts are sufficient. The procedure is not long and the result is natural. The entire operation takes between 2 and 4 hours. The recovery time for this procedure is about a week, but you can return to work three days after the procedure.
Here are the steps of eyebrow transplantation:
The operation begins with local anaesthesia.
Then the follicles are taken one by one from the donor area.
In order to transplant the hair follicles, channels are opened on the treated areas.
Then the collected hair follicles are transplanted one by one into the open channels.
To make your eyebrows look natural, there are several things to consider:
–Angle of the channels is one of them because it directly affects the natural look of the eyebrows. For this, it is very important that the team that will carry out the operation is expert and experienced in its field.
–The arrangement and spacing of hair follicles, conditions of a completely natural appearance.
After the operation, you may notice some redness and itching. Then, the follicles that are transplanted will start to fall out 2 to 3 weeks after the operation, just like with a hair transplant. This fall, called the “breaking process”, is temporary and quite normal.
New permanent eyebrows will begin to appear after 4 months and will continue to grow for up to 12 months after the procedure.
